Help Desk Walk-In Service Consolidating to McKeldin

Beginning Tuesday, May 26, 2015, in-person IT assistance will be consolidated to the DIT Help Desk in McKeldin Library (on the first floor in Room 1221). The walk-in location in the Computer and Space Sciences Building will close at 5 p.m. on Friday, May 22, 2015.

DIT Help Desk services available at McKeldin include:

  • Virus/malware removal
  • Apple in-warranty and out-of-warranty repairs
  • Dell in-warranty repairs
  • Hardware diagnostics
  • Software installation
  • Software support
  • Operating system installation
  • Virtual machine setup
  • Apple Boot Camp setup

Troubleshooting assistance will continue to be available by telephone, online through email, by starting an IT Service Center ticket, or by using Live Chat. Also, you can visit the Knowledge Base for self-help information.
